Tickets / Reservation
General information
We shall only assume responsibility for information published on our website. Tickets need to be purchased for two of our services only: for the guided geological study trail tour, and the 4D movie to be watched at the Reception Building. Tickets may be purchased at the Reception Building for both services.
Since there is a 700 m Kőzetpark [Rock Park] Trail leading up between the Reception Building and the entrance to geological study trail, the pre-reserved tickets must be received 30 minutes prior to the start of the tour, otherwise the reservation will be automatically cancelled from our system.
Visitors in groups should register in advance for the geological study trail, because registered visitors will be granted preference. We can also arrange for guided tours for groups of over 60 persons. Please submit such reservation requests to the itarnoc@gmail.com e-mail address. We do not sell group tickets, and there are no discounts for teachers, except if they escort groups (for 30 students 1 person may enter free of charge).
Guided tours leaving from the entrance of the geological study trail shall start at the 30th minute of each hour, between 09.30-15.30. The Bükkábrány trees located next to the Fossil Pine Trees’ Entrance Gate may be visited free of charge, and upon request a film will be shown about the preservation thereof in the Information Area of the Reception Building. It is worth joining the geological tour first, because it will be easier to interpret the information shown by the 4D movie by being able to connect those to what you have already seen. The 4D film lasts 10 minutes, the movie theatre has 20 moving seats and 5 fixed seats. With entry and exit, the film can be shown every 15 minutes. For those younger than 6 years, those of less than 1 m height, those suffering from severe heart condition or spine complaints, those over 120 kg weight, and expecting mothers we recommend the fixed (i.e. non-moving) chairs to be used.
